About the Town

Harrison sits between Crystal Lake and Long Lake, with public beaches and boat launches on both shores. The downtown runs along Long Lake, giving the town a visible waterfront presence, while Crystal Lake offers a quieter space for swimming and fishing. Together the two lakes make Harrison a community closely tied to the water.

Deertrees Theatre, a 1936 playhouse listed on the National Register of Historic Places, brings concerts and performances each summer, giving Harrison a cultural reputation that extends well beyond the season. Lakeside concerts and community gatherings add to the rhythm of summer, and the setting itself draws visitors back year after year.
